Spotlight show set for spring

The Oklahoma Children’s Acting Guild has announced their first show of the season, their annual musical revue. This year’s show, Spotlight 2020, will feature songs from the last 20 Tony award winners for Best Musical.

OCAG director Krislyn Gottman has been doing the Spotlight show for several years, showcasing hits from the best of Broadway and bringing it to the local stage. Student actors will perform all the roles.

This year’s shows include Contact, The Producers, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Hairspray, Avenue Q, Spamalot, Jersey Boys, Spring Awakening, In the Heights, Billy Elliot, Memphis, Book of Mormon, Once, Kinky Boots, Gentlemen’s Guide to Love & Murder, Fun Home, Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, The Band’s Visit, and Hadestown.

The date of the show is to be determined, but should take place on a weekend in April or May, to work with the performers’ schedules. Many of the OCAG students are also in band, sports, and other activities.
